Walking



"Walking briskly can lower your risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes as much as running, according to US researchers who analyses 33,060 runners and 15,045 walkers. They found the same energy used for moderate-intensity walking and intensity running resulted in similar risk reductions. Running reduced risk of first-time hypertension by 4.2% estrol by4.3% . Running land diabetes by 12.1%walking reduced the risks by 7.2%,7% and 12.3% respectively. Running lowered coronary heart disease risk by 4.5% compared to 9.3% for walking."
